Prime Minister National Talent Award

In 2025, Dr. Om Murti Anil received the Prime Minister National Talent Award, one of Nepal’s highest recognitions for professional excellence, conferred by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. The award acknowledged his distinguished contributions to the medical field, particularly his leadership in preventive cardiology, public health education, and innovative use of technology to expand health awareness and access to care at the national level.
Gold Medal in MD (Medicine)
Earlier in his academic career, Dr. Anil was awarded a Gold Medal in MD (Medicine) by Tribhuvan University for securing the highest academic distinction in the postgraduate medicine program. This achievement reflected exceptional academic performance and laid a strong foundation for his later work in clinical medicine, research, and public health leadership.
Best Research Paper of the Year

In 2018, his research contributions were formally recognized when he received the Best Research Paper of the Year award from the Nepal Health Research Council. Dr. Anil was also honored by the Nepal Police Wives Association for his contributions to heart disease prevention and community health outreach. At the national level, Dr. Om Murti Anil was honored with the Nepal Bidya Bhusan Padak ‘A’ on 8 September 2014 by then President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav in recognition of his exceptional academic achievement. In 2011, he completed a Doctor of Medicine (MD) equivalent to a PhD in Cardiology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India, and was awarded this prestigious honor in the ‘A’ category. The award recognized his outstanding knowledge and skills, with the expectation that he would apply them for the benefit of Nepal and contribute significantly to medical education, research, and public health, particularly in the field of cardiology.
Suprabal Janasewa Shree

He has also received the Suprabal Janasewa Shree, a prestigious civilian decoration of Nepal awarded for meritorious public service. This honor acknowledged his exceptional and sustained contributions to national health awareness, preventive healthcare, and community-based medical initiatives, reflecting his long-term service to public welfare.
