ABOUT DR. OM MURTI ANIL

Om Murti Anil (Nepali: ओममूित अिनल; born 31 October 1978)[2] is a Nepalese cardiologist, social worker, author and social media influencer. He is the founder of the National Cardiac Centre and is recognized for his contributions to cardiovascular health awareness in Nepal and beyond.[3] He conducts free heart camps and other community based health programs,

Dr. Anil’s Initiatives

Free Health Camps

Dr. Anil self-funds rural heart camps, providing free consultations, diagnostics, and medicines, serving over 20,000 underserved patients with focus on heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and cholesterol.

Training Health Workers

Dr. Anil has trained over 3,000 rural healthcare workers, equipping them to detect, screen, and provide primary care for heart disease and other non-communicable diseases.

Telemedicine Services

Dr. Anil provides free telemedicine services to over 30,000 Nepali migrant workers abroad, improving access to heart care for those facing distance, cost, or limited medical facilities.

Anti-smoking Campaign

In 2024, Anil launched the two-week digital campaign “Smokers Are Not Selfish,” helping 2,500 people quit smoking through screenings, counseling, public interactions, and educational seminars.

Scholarship

Dr. Om Murti Anil provides scholarships via the Dr. Om Foundation worth NPR 20,00,000 to support government school students studying in grades 6 through 9, funded entirely from the sale of his book Jiwanta Sambandha.
